About MynkBot
MynkBot is Mynk's crawler. It reads public bodies' own published contact pages to find work contact details of people in buying roles.
What MynkBot does
MynkBot visits the websites of Norwegian municipalities, counties and government agencies and reads the pages where they publish their own staff and contact details. It collects name, title, unit, work email and work phone for roles that make purchases.
The data is used in Mynk, a sales platform for companies selling to other organisations (B2B sales). We do not collect private contact details, and MynkBot never logs in anywhere.
How MynkBot behaves
- Respects robots.txt, including Crawl-delay
- At most one request per second per site, slower if Crawl-delay says so
- Reads public pages only, never anything behind a login
- Identifies itself: the User-agent contains MynkBot/1.0

Email hei@mynk.no with your name and the organisation you work for. We delete the data and make sure it isn't collected again. Requests are handled within 30 days.
Legal basis
We process the data on the basis of legitimate interest, GDPR Article 6(1)(f). It covers only work contact details that the organisation has published itself, for roles that buy on the organisation's behalf.
The first time someone contacts you through Mynk, you are told where your address came from (GDPR Article 14). The privacy policy (in Norwegian) has the details.
